5.0 out of 5 stars YOU MUST TRY!!!!! Perfect for those with allergies! By Aliblank on February 6, 2018 Verified Purchase
If you or someone in your household have skin sensitivities, these are so awesome. Your clothes are softer and have no smell. You should know, the term 'Soap nuts' is deceiving. They are actually berries,so if someone has a nut allergy (,like in my household), they are perfectly safe. You can use these for so much more than laundry too! Washing dishes in the sink or the dishwasher, household cleaner, shampoo....They are very versatile. You can find dozens of recipes online. You should also remember that chemicals that are in average everyday household cleaners can aggravate allergies even if they are dye-free. This is natural. It grows on trees, so you can feel good about introducing this product into your house hold. Finally, this company is in Greenville, SC! That's fairly local for me and it's a small company, not a huge factory, so you are supporting small business owners! There are no downers to getting this product!!
These are amazing!!! ByTammyon March 5, 2016 Verified Purchase
My son came over after going mudding with some of his friends. He was as dirty as his shorts. I guess he had a good time! Ha. Anyway, he wanted to wash his yucky clothes at my house. I instantly thought of my new soapberries and the test wash. I'm very impressed with how clean they became. What do you think?
Front Loader smells? Not any more!
ByStanly The Caton March 20, 2015 Verified Purchase
I have to say I bought this on a whim. I used them at first, then decided liquid detergent was "easier" Then, my brand new front loader started to "smell"... that musky water smell everyone complains about. After some research, that SMELL comes from the man-made DETERGENTS! yes! They accumulate in places, build up over time and they smell and hold bacteria. that's why they also sell those packets to "clean" your machine... it's to get rid of the build up from their products.
So I went back to soap berries, and I have to say a few things about being persistent ( going on 2 months) about using them:
1) MY FRONT LOADER NO LONGER SMELLS
2) your clothes are clean, stains lifted and whites white. I think people have been brainwashed that clean laundry has to have a scent... that's just temporary chemicals.
3) My clothes are so SOFT- you don't need any softener at all, and coming out of the dryer, no lint/static guards either. All those are chemicals to fight other chemicals... like fighting the side effect of a drug with another drug.
- This natural, effective soap nuts thing is really worth the persistence ... and getting to love it and appreciate it.
I highly recommend this on the High efficiency machines- and frankly only use this if you want to avoid that smell-

I was actually one of the first people to import and merchandise Soap Nuts in the USA. I sold my business four years ago but I know Soap Nuts from every angle. These nuts are of excellent quality. They are true mukorossi species quality and are in a class above anything else I have seen in the marketplace. They only come with one bag which will probably wear out over the 100's of loads of laundry in this bag. You can substitute an old sock if that happens or you can buy extra bags. Me...I always have old socks somewhere.

Upon receiving the soap nuts and opening the bag I could tell these were higher quality product than ones I have purchased from other companies. First the little bag that comes with is studier material than any I have seen before, I have used it several times and it's holding up better than previous ones. Second, the soap nuts themselves are have a much nicer appearance, they are much larger and seem to have more "soap" in them than ones I have bought before. Third, these soap nuts are much more affordable! I paid almost double the price for a less quality product last time. I have done several loads of laundry, cloth diapers and regular laundry, and they came out smelling clean and fresh. I will definitely be sticking with Greenwill for my soap nut purchases in the future.

I ordered soap nuts recently from Naturoli and they were all dried up and almost useless the time before that they were okay....These were not dry, they are sticky actually so I am very satisfied and I boil my soap nuts to make a liquid to handwash cloth diapers. I boiled these before I wrote a review and tried them on diapers and worked great. And I got a ton of liquid from these ones wayyyy more than I did from 2 competitors. So if you want a good deal on a ton of soap nuts then this is it!! Blessings~ Christina
On my second order of Greenwill's soapberries!, February 20, 2014

These soap berries from Greenwill are the only ones I will use. I have tried some other company's berries or soap nuts and they don't compare in quality. Greenwill soap berries make so much more soap than any of the others, and they are seedless. Some companies give you a hardened berry with the seed which makes it harder to use and yields less of the good stuff. I love to boil them and put the liquid into a bath & body works foaming soap container. The soap berry solution FOAMS up just like the chemical laden bath & body works stuff and works even better, leaving my skin soft and fresh and clean!!! I also only use the soap berries for my shampoo now, if you haven't tried it please do (you will love the results).

When I received it I can tell without any doubt: yes it is really a good one! There are some sellers to sell soapberries online here in the US,so it is a bit challenge for me to choose which one is the really good one... my mom's family used to sue this soapnuts for cleaning many years ago in China, so she knows this soapnuts very well, she said this is what I am talking about... Well I strongly recommend this one to give a try, I am sure you will love it! it is super good for yourself and your family's cleaning!100% eco-friendly! your skin will love it!

I was excited to be able to find these! The name brand soap nuts (eco nuts) cost about twice as much per pound, so when I found these, I was thrilled to know I would be getting a MUCH better deal! Here are some key points as to the high rating I gave:
1. The soap nuts worked great. They got rid of the musky smell that some of my clothes had acquired (from some previous accidental over-the-night stays in the washing machine).
2. The packaging was minimal, so not only was I able to use environmentally friendly soap nuts, but I'll be able to recycle the box that they arrived in, with no plastic to worry about!
3. They included a little cloth bag to keep the nuts in during washing, just like the name brand soap nuts I love them, love them, love them! Thank you so much for offering this product!

I have never used Soap Berries or Soap Nuts before, and was extremely curious. I have had allergies this year and thought it was just live oak, as I live in Florida, but after using the soap berries on my clothes, underwear and sheets was surprised to find I no longer burst out in rashes. I used to soak them first in hot water, if I washed in cold water, but don't even bother to do that now. I place about 8-10 berries in the bag, and do several washes, depending on the size of the wash. I feel that for the price, I can under use them because of the allergies. My only complaint is that they love to escape, and I am going to
buy a bigger bag, with a better kind of tie, or make one myself. The one provided was not really adequate. However, this was a test amount for me, and I will gladly buy a greater amount. I have a lovely glass jar with a lid, and I have them next to my potpourri as they are quite attractive. I compost them afterwards. I only use commercial wash powder now, if I have a really heavy wash after someone's illness, and then rewash in soap buds.
